On August 11th, one month after Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara was arrested for practicing his freedom of speech right, the artist, in collaboration with the art curator Claudia Genlui, called to participate in the art project: RESIGNATION LETTER.

The goal of this project was to make available to the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz Canel Bermudez, a set of letters prepared by Cubans around the world, from which he could choose one and resign from his role. In this way, the transition of power on the island is facilitated/accelerated while co-creating a space for collective imagination.

Bases to participate:

1- Write a letter of resignation on behalf of the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz Canel.

2- All Cuban citizens may submit proposals, regardless of their country of residence, as long as they meet the legal age.

2- It will be received one letter per person and a selection of these letters will be scattered on the fan page of Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara, San Isidro Movement Facebook profile, as well as in art and press media.

3- The letters must have a maximum length of 500 words and they will be sent to the email proyectocartaderenuncia@gmail.com in PDF format, between the dates of August 10th and 22nd, 2021 with subject Letter of resignation/name or pseudonym of the author.
