Kids were born to be happy not do die in building collapses

2020

Artistic act that consists of using during the period of 9 days (ninth) a builder's helmet. The action was intended to be a wake-up call in the face of building collapses that constantly happen in Cuba due to bad housing conditions, as well as a tribute for the victims, especially the three girls who died in February in Havana. The Cuban government does not assume its responsibility and the situation precarious housing is an increasingly latent issue. The action is complemented by a launch in the networks of a “project sent to the Ministry of Education of Cuba for the Protection and Security of children and young people in the country, given the continuous and unpredictable drop in balconies, eaves, windows, debris and other architectural structures. The helmets, main article of the project, will be differentiated by colors according to the grade of schooling of the user. For Primary, red and white; for Basic Secondary: yellow and for the Pre-university, blue. The helmet is designed to be light and comfortable. Light enough to roam long distances on foot.
